Green Pea Broc-Amole
Lighter guacamole alternative with broccoli and peas. Makes 6 servings.

Ingredients
- broccoli florets
- frozen green peas
- avocado
- red onion
- white miso paste
- lemon or lime juice
- jalapeno
- cilantro
Instructions
- Steam the broccoli and peas in a metal steamer basket over an inch (2.5cm) or so of boiling water in a covered saucepan or pot until tender, 6 to 8 minutes.
- Run cold water over the vegetables to stop the cooking process.
- Drain well and set aside until completely cool.
- Transfer the cooled vegetables to a food processor and puree until smooth.
- Halve and pit the avocado.
- In the food processor, add the avocado flesh, red onion, miso paste, and lemon juice to the pureed vegetables.
- If you like a little texture in your guacamole, pulse the mixture just to combine; otherwise, process until smooth and well blended.
- Taste to adjust the seasonings.
- Transfer to a serving bowl, mix in the jalapeño (if using), and sprinkle the top with cilantro (if using).
- Serve immediately or cover and refrigerate until ready to enjoy.
- This dip is best when eaten on the same day it is made.
