Green Beans and Grape Tomatoes with Garlic and Pine Nuts

Ingredients

  • pine nuts
  • grape tomatoes
  • roasted garlic
  • green beans
  • fresh basil leaves
  • balsamic syrup
  • pippali or black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small skillet, spread out the pine nuts and cook over medium heat, stirring until golden, about 4 minutes.
  2. Stir in the tomatoes and Roasted Garlic, then cook until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and set aside.
  4. Steam the green beans in a metal steamer basket over an inch (2.5cm) or so of boiling water in a covered saucepan or pot until just tender, about 8 minutes.
  5. Transfer the cooked green beans to a large serving bowl.
  6. Add the pine nut mixture, basil leaves, Balsamic Syrup, and pippali to taste, then toss to combine.
  7. Serve warm.
