Strawberry and Basil Refresher

A strawberry and basil mocktail spritz. Strawberries are high in vitamin C and contain heart-healthy, cancer-fighting polyphenols and potassium for blood pressure.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped strawberries
  • 0.5 cup lime juice
  • 12 large fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tsp monk fruit sweetener (optional)
  • Sparkling water

Instructions

  1. Divide the chopped berries among four glasses. Add 2 tablespoons lime juice to each glass along with two or three roughly torn basil leaves. Using a cocktail muddler, pound the berries and basil until they release all their juices. Add sweetener, if desired.
  2. Fill each glass with ice and top with sparkling water. Garnish with extra basil, stir, and enjoy.
